Job Title: Classified Marketing Representative
Department: Agriculture
Reports to: Display Advertising Manager
Pay Rate: 1 to 90 days: $7.00/hour and 5% commission, 91+ days: $5.15/hour and 10% commission

Job Duties/Responsibilities: Classified Marketing Representative is responsible for contacting potential advertisers on behalf of the Heartland Ag-Business Group's range of publications to sell Marketplace/classified advertising space in the magazines. Sales Representative will contact sellers of agricultural equipment and services via the telephone and should be comfortable applying product knowledge training to the sales pitch in order to fully educate customers on the features and benefits of the Ag group of products.

Required Skills/Competencies: Successful applicant will be self-motivated, energetic and outgoing with a strong desire to provide outstanding customer service. Prior sales and marketing experience is preferred. A minimum of six months of customer service experience is required. Hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Friday, however, an alternate schedule (with part-time hours, if necessary) can be negotiated based on the needs of the successful applicant.

Job Title: Display Advertising Representative
Department: Permission to Hunt's Ultimate Outdoors
Reports to: Editor-in-Chief
Pay Rate: Draw on future commissions commensurate with experience

Job Duties/Responsibilities: Marketplace Sales Representative is responsible for contacting potential advertisers on behalf of Permission to Hunt's Ultimate Outdoors to sell display advertising space in the magazine and for the television show. Sales Representative will contact manufacturers of outdoor sporting goods, services and equipment primarily, and should be highly professional and capable for dealing with a broad and diverse range of customers. Customer contact is primarily via the telephone, but some travel and/or trade show work is necessary.

Required Skills/Competencies: Successful applicant will be self-motivated, energetic and outgoing with a strong desire to provide outstanding customer service. Prior sales and marketing experience is required. Applicants should have a basic familiarity with computer programs including Microsoft Word and any type of internet and/or email software. Hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Friday. This is an upper level sales and marketing position, and the successful candidate will be professional, have polished presentation and sales abilities and will be capable of working closely with customers to assist them in designing complete marketing plans that include the full range of marketing products offered by Permission to Hunt's Ultimate Outdoors.

Job Title: Marketplace Sales Representative
Department: The Iowa Sportsman
Reports to: Publisher/Editor-in-Chief
Pay Rate: Hourly wage plus commission, moves to straight commission after 180 days
Location: Urbandale, Iowa

Job Duties/Responsibilities: Marketplace Sales Representative is responsible for contacting potential advertisers on behalf of The Iowa Sportsman to sell Marketplace/classified advertising space in the magazines. Sales Representative will contact Iowa-based providers of outdoor sporting equipment, supplies and services via the telephone and should be comfortable applying product knowledge training to the sales pitch in order to fully educate customers on the features and benefits of the The Iowa Sportsman. Marketplace Sales Representative will be based out of the Urbandale, Iowa office.

Required Skills/Competencies: Successful applicant will be self-motivated, energetic and outgoing with a strong desire to provide outstanding customer service. Prior sales and marketing experience is preferred. A minimum of 6 to 12 months of customer service experience is required. Leads are provided by clerical support staff, and contact is primarily via the telephone. This position is responsible for learning and applying product knowledge in order to educate our customers on the features and benefits of the magazine.

Required Skills/Competencies: Successful applicant will be self-motivated, energetic and outgoing with a strong desire to provide outstanding customer service. Prior sales and marketing experience is preferred. A minimum of 6-12 months prior customer service experience is required. Applicants should have a basic familiarity with computer programs including Microsoft Word and any type of internet and/or email software. Preferred hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Friday, however, part time status would be considered based on the skills, qualifications and attitude of the successful applicant.

Title: Display Advertising & Marketing Specialist
Division: IMT
Reports to: Display Advertising Manager
Pay: Draw on commissions commensurate with experience

Job Duties/Responsibilities: Display Advertising & Marketing Specialist is responsible for contacting manufacturers and dealers of Industrial equipment to educate on the benefits and features of Industrial Machine Trader and its related group of products. Advertising & Marketing Specialist is responsible for working closely with all levels of customers to assist in the design, implementation and ongoing maintenance and development of customer advertising programs.

Essential Skills: The successful candidate will have a strong customer service foundation and at least six months to one year of marketing/sales experience. Must have strong work ethic, desire to succeed, enthusiasm, positive attitude and the ability to be self-motivated and work independently.

Title: Sales Assistant
Rate of Pay: Commensurate with experience

Duties: Complete clerical duties for the Display Advertising Manager and Display Advertising Sales staff to facilitate sales efforts, including but not limited to: report generation, completing sales sheets, account tracking, make and assigns, production of business correspondence, completing proposals and insertion orders and compiling and mailing media kits.

Required Skills/Experience: Excellent customer service skills, ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, attention to detail, positive attitude, strong work ethic, excellent and grammatically correct written and verbal communication and experience working with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and database software.

Title: National Sales Representative
Division: Acreage - The Magazine for Rural Living
Rate of Pay: Base salary plus commission, commensurate with experience

Duties: Develop a marketing strategy targeting "A" and top tier clients to establish new types of advertisers and new revenue sources for Acreage. Position requires approximately 50 percent travel/50 percent in-house work, however, days and specifics of travel can be negotiated based on personal need.

Required Skills/Experience: Prior sales experience required. Prior knowledge and understanding of Acreage preferred.
